KnowledgeMill has invested proactively in developing a strong indirect sales channel through formal and informal relationships with leading IT service and ECM product providers. Our approach is to keep the core focus of our firm as engineering, and build our sales capabilities through partners who have already established themselves in the open market. Indirect sales channels offer tremendous ‘leverage’ whereby sales are enhanced through the introduction of partner referral programs. Our approach and incentive strategy for each of these types of organizations is described below, along with the partnerships we have already secured:
ECM Software Vendors – KnowledgeMill has and plans to continue to form strong relationships with segment leading ISVs and to develop proprietary capabilities to offer advanced ECM services for their software products. As part of our relationship with the ISVs, KnowledgeMill will seek to be a ‘Certified Provider’ for their software. In return for raising the quality of capability offered for their applications, and geberating points of differentiation for particulare sectors. We anticipate receiving a significant lead flow from the ISVs. To this end, KnowledgeMill has currently secured partnerships with EMC, Microsoft and Oracle – all Tier 1 vendors.
Systems Integration Professional Services Firms – Many SI professional services firms are looking for new opportunities to deliver value for their customers and generate organic and inorganic growth. Customers are looking to reduce costs and simultaneously innovate to deliver value for their businesses. In addition, KnowledgeMill does not have the operations and customer service infrastructure to effectively manage and monitor all applications installed in production. KnowledgeMill will work closely with a select group of SI professional service firms to assist them in identifying new customer opportunities and selling KnowledgeMill products in, and subsequently to provide a sophisticated capability to support the installations. We anticipate obtaining a significant flow of leads through these relationships. We have secured partnerships with Computacenter, BlueSource and plan to secure partnerships with Accenture PLC and Avanade in the nearterm.
Hosting Infrastructure Providers – One of KnowledgeMill’s offerings is an externally hosted ECM solution. It is our intent that our customers will lease infrastructure, space and network directly from a hosting infrastructure provider. Part of our selection criteria for our infrastructure providers will be their willingness to participate in a lead referral program. Given the established sales organizations of many of these organizations, we believe that they will be a valuable source of leads. In return for leads, KnowledgeMill will commit to bringing hosting business to these organizations, helping to fill their data center facilities and driving traffic to their network backbones. KnowledgeMill has secured a partnership with Fujitsu and Union Solutions Ltd.
