KnowledgeMill was founded in 2009 after delivering a £3.5M solution to one of the world’s largest law firms to address the challenges of email data and its lifecycle management. The team focused on designing and developing a new product suite to manage key data sets across the business.
We are a small, dynamic, customer-focused business with an extended global reach through our network of partners including Microsoft, Oracle and EMC.

Hish has a significant presence within the legal IT arena having been responsible for delivering major IT and business change programmes at Linklaters and Clifford Chance. With over 20 years experience in IT, he has seasoned management skills that are complimented with a strong technical background. Over the years Hish has been part of the Forrester Leadership Board ‘EA Council’ and various global advisory boards and is a regular speaker at industry-specific IT events.
James Allchin - Director Server Technology
James spent significant time working for Oracle Corporation in a development and consulting capacity, delivering software solutions to high profile customers across a range of sectors including manufacturing, retail, finance, government and legal. James has a proven background in designing enterprise-class highly scalable server platforms and is responsible for overseeing server technologies at KnowledgeMill. James also heads up the ContextStore product team.
Marcus Lambert - Director Client Technology
Marcus is a software innovator who has a track record for delivering leading edge solutions which are at the forefront of the latest technology trends. Marcus started his career with a well-regarded software consultancy before joining McKinsey & Company in 2000. With several major IT implementations under his belt, he left to establish Techknowledgeable Solutions Ltd.. High profile success came in delivering software solutions to both Allen & Overy and Clifford Chance. Marcus is responsible for all of KnowledgeMill’s OnePlace client side technologies.
Graeme Scott - Director of Client Services
Graeme joined after 10 years with Clifford Chance where he built a reputation as a highly motivated, dynamic and client-focused Project Manager with a proven record of successful end-to-end project delivery. As the Director of Client Services, Graeme is primarily responsible for the successful execution of all client projects but also works closely with Hish on business development and client relationship management activities.
