Clifford Chance has 29 offices in 20 countries

The Need

Organising and managing the email related to any client and matter is important to Clifford Chance but so is doing it efficiently (one copy not many) and cost effectively. It was important to find a simple and economical way to file email, store and manage it once and in the long term leverage the knowledge within the matter file

The Solution

Whilst at Clifford Chance the founders of KnowledgeMill formed part of the team to deliver File As You Go (FAYG), which comprises:

  • An application that enables users to easily classify an email as it is created, read or replied to Microsoft Outlook / Exchange based
  • A scalable store where a single copy of each email is stored and organised by matter (providing the ability to manage email by business rules related to that matter)
  • Innovative tools for navigating, searching and reporting on the content

This has been rolled out globally to approx 7,200 employees and in-conjunction with Office 2007
