OnePlace Exchange Agent provides the integration point between OnePlace Server and your Microsoft Exchange service.

OnePlace is a crucial companion to any MS Exchange deployment. It reduces the strain on the messaging platform, lowering cost, improving performance, reducing risk, and providing knowledge and insight into the business.

OnePlace Exchange Agent is compatible with Exchange 2003, 2007, and 2010. It is also compatible with any hosted version of Exchange and with Microsoft's own cloud services - Office 365 and BPOS.

OnePlace Exchange Agent can be configured to use different protocols against Microsoft Exchange including MAPI, Exchange DAV or Exchange Web Services (EWS). This flexible approach ensures that the Exchange agents can work with the many different deployment topologies. Any number of agents can be deployed to cope with geographically dispersed Exchange environments. Each agent is multi-threaded to enable scale and flexibility over the size of the estate. Like all KnowledgeMill applications, configuration is controlled and managed centrally through the OnePlace Manager (OPM).

Given that the OnePlace solution was designed to be cloud-ready from the start this means that you have complete freedom for where you run Exchange (either on-site, cloud or hosted) and where you run the OnePlace Server (again on-site or in the cloud).
