The OnePlace Salesforce Agent provides the integration point between OnePlace and your Salesforce service in the cloud.

By bringing Salesforce and OnePlace together, Salesforce users can now seamlessly file, analyse, and organise their email data and correspondence in the same hierarchical structure provided by Salesforce. Users can now find, file, and retrieve all electronic content related to any Account, Contact, Opportunity, Contract, Campaign and Lead. Indeed, any dimension from Salesforce.com in just a single click. This empowers Salesforce customers to gain greater visibility of sales team activity and to improve customer service management.

The agent itself is simply a Windows Service which gets installed on a MS Windows Server 2003 or 2008 or for smaller environments this could even be a Windows Desktop. The agent continually synchronises information between Salesforce and OnePlace and, as with all KnowledgeMill products, configuration is controlled centrally through the OnePlace Manager user interface.

The flexibility of the OnePlace platform means that you can run OnePlace in the cloud or as an appliance in your own data center or server room. If choosing to run OnePlace Server Cloud the agent is also run from within the cloud providing a no-server footprint.
