OpenText has announced the final release of its Email Management product and a transition to the sustaining phase of customer support for users. OpenText will continue to support Email Management 16.4 in the current maintenance phase until February 28, 2026.
Customers are being warned that during this period, Microsoft is depracating certain APIs utilised by the Email Management product. Should any issues arrise from such API depracation, OpenText may be limited in the ability to resolve them.
Beginning March 1, 2026, Email Management 16.4 customers will require Extended Support to continue receiving expert-level technical support for critical P1 fixes, and to maintain access to existing product patches and releases, and the online knowledge base for an additional two years. Limited Extended Support begins once Extended Support ends and includes commercially reasonable technical support only including leveraging the online knowledge base and existing tech support tickets. This extra level of coverage gives customers peace of mind while they explore their options.
OpenText are recommending Knowledgemill as a clear alternative
